Lesson 2
Today we learned about some of the techniques that are used by various different companies to make the consumers buy their products. A common technique is making the buyer feel as if they deserve to treat themselves with a certain product, for example Loriel's slogan "because I'm worth it". However some companies are just completely blatant with their advertising stating that they are the best with Carling's slogan being "probably the best beer in the world".
After we did a group task where we had to design a product based on a target market and a product idea. My groups product was a snack item for toddlers, so we came up with Spongebob Snackbar which contained raisins, oats and apple so it was a healthier choice for parents. Our product was set to cost £2.50 (4 pack) with every multi pack containing a free collectors toy.
